The Care Crate Co. Finds Reasons to Celebrate Every Day

We love major holidays, but we don’t believe in exclusively celebrating just those! We find ways to spread cheer every single day with our care packages, so it only makes sense that we plan to observe these unique and obscure summer holidays this year.

June 12, 2022: National Jerky Day

Jerky is classified as any type of dried meat. Most commonly in the United States, we see beef or turkey jerky dominating the market, but any meat can be dehydrated and made into one of our favorite chewy and savory treats. It’s a very popular snack, but it’s also been a staple of astronauts on space missions since 1996 because it’s filling and packed with protein.

Although the holiday was created in 2012 by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky, we think it’s a great time to celebrate any brand of beef jerky, including homemade varieties. Celebrate by making your own, or by sharing beef jerky with your friends and family.

June 17, 2022: Eat Your Vegetables Day

June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, so this strategically-placed holiday makes perfect sense. The holiday is designed to promote a healthier diet, so take the opportunity to try out new foods you’ve never tasted before. Visit your local grocery store and pick out a few items from the produce aisle. Don’t want to try a new fruit or veggie? Stick with ones you already know you love, or try going vegetarian for one day.

Enjoy snacks without meat or other animal products in our Gluten-Free Dairy-Free Vegan Care Package.

June 18, 2022: National Splurge Day

The phrase “Treat yo’self,” was made popular by the hit NBC show Parks and Recreation. Celebrate National Splurge Day by treating yourself to a care package — or should we say self-care package — or even a snack-box subscription from The Care Crate Co.

Don’t hold back! Spoil yourself for this awesome summer holiday.

July 7, 2022: World Chocolate Day

Chocolate is one of America’s favorite snack foods. Eat it often on World Chocolate Day, a day to celebrate this tasty treat that is technically a vegetable (it comes from the cacao tree)!

Naturally, this holiday was first introduced by chocolate confectioners, but since then, people have taken the opportunity to enjoy mocha in their coffee for breakfast, s’mores for dessert, chocolate milk with their meals, and a hot fudge sundae for a midnight snack!

Get your chocolate fix in various snack boxes that we ship directly to your home!

July 11, 2022: Cheer Up the Lonely Day

Promote kindness on Cheer Up the Lonely Day by spending quality time with a special friend. Loneliness is a universal emotion that anyone can experience throughout their lives. Studies show that loneliness can cause physical and mental health problems including increased stress levels, cardiovascular problems, and depression.

To help cheer up a lonely friend or family member, send them a care package, full of delicious treats or microwaveable meals that the two of you can enjoy together when you hang out.

August 2, 2022: Friendship Day

We observe Friendship Day on the first Sunday in August after the United States Congress proclaimed it a national holiday back in 1935. There are lots of ways to celebrate friendships, including spending time with your friends, but what if your friends are far away from you? You can, of course, call your friends on the phone or via video chat, but make this holiday even more special by sending them one of the best gifts for friends from The Care Crate Co. Our wide selection ensures you can find a present that anyone will love!

Send a Care Package

Don’t plan to observe any of these summer holidays, but have other ones you do participate in? Care packages from The Care Crate Co. are great for those, too! We love celebrating holidays, spreading love, and making people smile. Shop our full selection of amazing gift boxes to send to your loved ones.
